There are several easy methods to transfer your photos and videos from your GoPro to your Windows computer.

The best method for you might depend on what camera you’re using, how many files you’ve got, their sizes, and how much space you have on your computer:

Using an SD Adapter – The Fastest & Easiest Way

  • Slide your MicroSD card into an SD-Adapter, then insert the adapter into your computer. This method is quick and efficient for transferring media.
  • Hit the Windows Key+E to launch File Explorer, where you’ll find your SD card listed on the left sidebar under [This PC].
  • Navigate by double-clicking on your SD card to reveal two main folders: DCIM and MISC.
  • Enter the [DCIM folder] to find a folder labeled 100GOPRO. (If you have an extensive collection of pictures or videos, exceeding 9999, look for folders named 101GOPRO, 102GOPRO, 103GOPRO, and so on.)
  • Sie können leicht drag and drop files from your SD card directly to your computer for safekeeping or further editing.

What is a Micro SD card adapter?

This adapter typically matches the dimensions of a regular SD card, allowing you to slot in a micro SD card. Once fitted, the adapter can be used in the SD card slots found on many laptops and desktops.

While micro SD cards often included these adapters in the past, it’s less common now. However, they’re still affordable and easy to find.
