Quick Take
The DJI Pocket 4 Pro Vlog Kit ships with more accessories than any Pocket camera before it — a wireless mic, viewfinder remote, and fill light all in the box for around $600. Its closest rival, the Insta360 Luna Ultra, runs $769.99 and doesn’t include a wireless mic at all.
The DJI Pocket 4 Pro Vlog Kit just dropped in China, and because it’s expected to hit international stores any day now, I got an early look at exactly what’s in the box — and whether it’s worth choosing over the Insta360 Luna Ultra. There’s a lot packed into this kit, so here’s everything that comes with it.
Price and What’s in the Box
In China, the Vlog Kit runs about $600, with a standard kit (no extras) coming in a little cheaper. Open it up and you’ll find a handle, a wireless mic, a small stand, a fill light, the viewfinder remote, and the Pocket 4 Pro body itself — already more than what ships in the box with a Pocket 3 or standard Pocket 4. The camera also arrives pre-activated from the store, so there’s no setup step before you start shooting. A small bag fits the body alone, while a larger carrying case swallows the whole kit — camera, mic, handle, all of it.
The Dual-Lens Body
The headline feature is the second lens on the front, which is what makes this the Pro version. The front lens twists off for a wide-angle adapter or ND filter, and two contact points let the camera auto-recognize official accessories. A single tap jumps to 3x zoom and stays stable even zoomed in; double-tap reaches 6x, with a closest focus distance of about 10 centimeters. Hold the zoom button and it keeps pushing to 12x total. DJI’s telephoto sensor is slightly larger than the Luna’s, and the Pocket 4 Pro answers back with 17 stops of dynamic range against the Luna’s 14 — though its 3x optical zoom is shorter than the Luna’s 6x lossless reach.
Storage, Mic, and the Remote
Built-in storage lands at around 100GB, well ahead of the Luna Ultra’s roughly 47GB — one less memory card to worry about failing. The included DJI Mic Mini 2 pairs with the camera automatically the moment it powers on, and since the Luna Ultra doesn’t ship with a wireless mic at all, that’s a real extra you’re getting in this kit. The viewfinder remote is one of the more interesting pieces here — pair it to the camera and you can monitor your shot and control everything from across the room, which matters if you’re filming solo.
One small thing that did annoy me: if your phone is already connected to the camera, you can’t connect the viewfinder remote at the same time. It’s a fixable firmware quirk, not a dealbreaker.
Pocket 4 Pro vs Luna Ultra: The Real Decision
The Luna Ultra is Insta360’s first-ever pocket camera, built with Leica on the lenses — a serious first attempt. But DJI is already on its fourth Pocket, and that gap between a first-generation product and a fourth-generation one tends to matter more in daily use than any single spec. My full breakdown of Luna Ultra vs Pocket 4 Pro goes deeper on that comparison if you want the full picture.
Availability, Including the US
In China it’s available now, with an international rollout expected around June 29th to 30th. The US is more complicated: DJI products have been on the FCC’s restricted list since December, so DJI can’t sell the Pocket 4 or Pocket 4 Pro directly in the US. You can still find it through Amazon or other third-party sellers, or consider the Insta360 Luna Ultra, which is sold worldwide with no restrictions, or DJI’s rebranded US version, the Xtra Muse 2 Pro, currently on pre-order. My breakdown of the DJI vs Insta360 lawsuit covers exactly why that FCC situation exists.
So who’s the Vlog Kit for? If you want the most proven tracking, a mic already in the box, big internal storage, and a price that comes in under the Luna Ultra, the Pocket 4 Pro makes the most sense.
What’s included in the DJI Pocket 4 Pro Vlog Kit?
The Vlog Kit includes the Pocket 4 Pro camera body, a handle, the DJI Mic Mini 2 wireless microphone, a mini tripod, a fill light, the viewfinder remote, a small carrying bag, and a larger case that fits the whole kit.
How much does the DJI Pocket 4 Pro Vlog Kit cost?
In China, the Vlog Kit costs approximately $600, with the standard kit (fewer accessories) priced somewhat lower. International and US pricing hadn’t been confirmed at time of writing.
Can you buy the DJI Pocket 4 Pro in the US?
Not directly from DJI. DJI has been on the FCC’s Covered List since December, so the Pocket 4 Pro isn’t sold through DJI’s official US channels. It’s available through Amazon and other third-party sellers, or as the rebranded Xtra Muse 2 Pro.
Does the Pocket 4 Pro Vlog Kit include a wireless microphone?
Yes — the DJI Mic Mini 2 is included and pairs with the camera automatically on power-on. This is a notable advantage over the Insta360 Luna Ultra, which doesn’t include a wireless mic in the box.
