It boasts a payload capacity of 30 pounds. This means that the gimbal can be used for everything from DSLRs up to cinema cameras such as the Sony FS7.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Much like its previous model, the Ronin 2 supports underslung, upright, and briefcase operation modes so you&#8217;re able to achieve the best angle. In addition, this gimbal has been redesigned to enable easy transition between upright and underslung modes without changing the camera position.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">There are several other improvements on this gimbal too, which include improvements on the control software and the physical design of the gimbal. Ronin 2 has been designed in a way to simplify complex shots without sacrificing performance. This is done by making all the important functions more readily accessible.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s how the DJI Ronin 2 gimbal fares when it comes to its various <strong>features<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<h3>Design<\/h3>\n<p>The DJI Ronin 2 is noticeably heavier than the original Ronin. Built from carbon fiber, the arms and ring themselves don&#8217;t weigh too much. But, when the gimbal is fully assembled, lifting the whole package may feel a bit daunting for a single operator. So, you&#8217;ll need a dual-operator setup or something like a Ready Rig or a crane.<\/p>\n<p>Ronin 2 features a built-in GPS that provides essential information for gimbal acceleration and speed. This lets you maintain the camera&#8217;s position and the horizon level when moving at high speeds when mounted on a vehicle or drone.<\/p>\n<h3>Detachable Grip<\/h3>\n<p>The Ronin 2 features a detachable grip which allows it to stand up on its own. You can also separate it easily when the lower part of the handgrip is not needed. The batteries on the Ronin 2 are self-heating so you get high performance even in temperatures as low as -4\u00b0F, or in high-heat environments. These dual batteries operate simultaneously and independently, thus offering you complete redundancy. Therefore, you can keep the shoot going.<\/p>\n<h3>Overall Performance<\/h3>\n<p>Featuring upgraded high torque motors, the Ronin 2 is compatible with a wider range of cameras. It can efficiently resist high winds and G-forces when mounted onto a car which allows it to move smoothly in flight. It&#8217;s one of the easiest gimbal stabilizers that I&#8217;ve ever used.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, <strong>I&#8217;d highly recommend it<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<p>However, there&#8217;s one drawback to Ronin 2 &#8211; its weight. You need two people for carrying it comfortably.
