But, if you go through all the below-mentioned settings, you&#8217;ll be able to confidently set up your GoPro for your epic motocross adventures.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the <strong>best GoPro settings for Motocross:<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Resolution<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The <strong>Resolution <\/strong>refers to the number of horizontal lines used in each frame of the video. It usually comes in 4K, 1080p and 720p. A <strong>1080p<\/strong> video is made up of 1080 horizontal lines. Similarly, a <strong>4K<\/strong> video is made up of 3840 horizontal lines. Today, the newer GoPro models, like the Hero 9 &amp; 10 are also capable of shooting footage in <strong>5K<\/strong>. It is the latest, greatest and largest GoPro resolution.<\/p>\n<p>But, high resolutions also mean large file sizes. This, in turn, leaves less room on your memory card to record more. Therefore, I recommend that you use <strong>1080p resolution<\/strong>. It&#8217;s not too big and looks great on your TV.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Frame Rate<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The <strong>Frame Rate<\/strong> or FPS (frames per second) refers to the number of frames captured in each second of video. Frame rates range from 24fps to 240fps on your GoPro action camera. Higher frame rates <strong>(60, 120, or 240)<\/strong> are better at capturing fast-action shots and&nbsp;slow-motion playback.<\/p>\n<p>While 24fps is the most natural-looking frame rate, filming in 30fps or 60fps also delivers smooth footage. For motocross videos, I recommend that you use <strong>60FPS<\/strong>. That&#8217;s because this frame rate gives you the flexibility to slow things down in post-production.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Field of View<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The <strong>field of view<\/strong> (FOV) refers to how much of the scene is captured by your GoPro. GoPro has four FOVs &#8211; SuperView, Wide, Linear, and Narrow. SuperView captures the most of the scene, while Narrow captures the least.
