Use GoPro recommended SD cards (<a href=\"http:\/\/projectgo.pro\/micro-sd-card-for-gopro\/\">learn more<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li>Your GoPro is defected (contact GoPro support)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In the meantime, in order to unfreeze your GoPro, you need to <strong>reset it<\/strong> using its buttons. In this guide I&#8217;m going to show you <strong>how to reset GoPro<\/strong> easily.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Resetting GoPro to Factory Default<\/h2>\n<hr>\n<p>This could be the best way to remove any issues from your GoPro which are hindering its performance. There are many such scenarios, when you&#8217;ll want to reset your camera back to default settings and most importantly, when your GoPro suddenly freezes.<\/p>\n<p>The first and the easiest method is, press and hold down the shutter button (the top button) while the GoPro is off. While still holding the shutter button, press the power button (on the front of the camera) for a few seconds. The camera will now power on and it will <b>reset<\/b>&nbsp;to the original&nbsp;<b>settings<\/b>. Follow below steps for restoring factory settings for different GoPro models.<\/p>\n<h3>GoPro Hero 12\/ 11 \/ Hero 10 \/Hero 9<\/h3>\n<p>To reset your GoPro Hero 9 or Hero 10 to factory default settings, follow these simple steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Power on your GoPro camera.<\/li>\n<li>On the main screen, swipe down to access the Dashboard.<\/li>\n<li>Tap on the &#8220;<strong>Preferences<\/strong>&#8221; icon (shaped like a gear).<\/li>\n<li>Scroll down the Preferences menu and tap on &#8220;Reset.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>You&#8217;ll see two options: &#8220;Reset Presets&#8221; and &#8220;Factory Reset.&#8221; Select &#8220;<strong>Factory Reset<\/strong>.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>A confirmation message will appear, asking if you&#8217;re sure you want to reset your camera to its factory settings. Confirm by tapping &#8220;Yes.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Your GoPro Hero 9 or Hero 10 will now reset to its original factory settings. This process will remove any custom settings, Wi-Fi passwords, and personal information stored on the camera.
