There are four ways to find the serial number of your GoPro Hero 6 Black:
- Go to the camera menu. Swipe down, and select Preferences > About This GoPro > Serial Number.
- Remove the battery and find the number printed in the battery compartment.
- Find the serial number on the bottom of your camera’s box.
- Connect the camera to your computer. Find the version.txt file in the MISC folder for serial number.
GoPro Hero 5 Black
There’s only one way to find the serial number of your GoPro Hero 5 Black:
- Remove the battery and find the number printed in the battery compartment.
GoPro Hero 5 Session
There’s only one way to find the serial number of your GoPro Hero 5 Session:
- Open the inside of the I/O door next to the charging ports and SD card. You’ll find the number printed inside it.
GoPro Hero 4 Black & Silver
There’s only one way to find the serial number of your GoPro Hero 4 Black & Silver:
- Remove the battery and find the white sticker with the serial number inside the battery bay.
GoPro Hero 4 Session
