The truth, as frustrating as it might be, is that ‘it depends<\/strong>.’<\/p>\n

The GoPro is capable of some truly remarkable feats, but it might not be the one-size-fits-all solution for every traveler<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

With the market now flooded with action cameras like the Insta360 Ace Pro<\/a>, boasting AI tools, or the DJI Acci\u00f3n 4<\/a>, which comes at a more attractive price point, it’s understandable to feel a bit overwhelmed by choices.<\/p>\n

Having used a GoPro for nearly eight years<\/strong> as an adventurous filmmaker, I’m excited to share my honest insights.<\/p>\n

I’ve been using GoPro for nearly 8 years now, and I am not ready to switch this camera for another one. Initially, I bought it when I quit my corporate job and started to travel. I gifted myself this sabbatical year and set off to Southeast Asia – Thailand, Bali, Philippines.<\/p>\n

I needed a camera that would be small, as I didn’t have much space in my luggage<\/strong> and I was moving quite a lot, a camera that would be rugged as I was riding a motorbike in dirt<\/strong> and under the rain, and a camera that would withstand underwater – as I started to learn diving and eventually became a dive master. I just wanted to capture all my adventures<\/strong> during this year. In that era, the only camera that could do all of it, to cover all my needs, was a GoPro.<\/p>\n

So, I went for it. I bought a GoPro Hero 6 Negro<\/strong>, and it was the best choice I could have ever made<\/strong>. Now that time has passed and technology advanced, I can still feel even my old GoPro Hero 6 does quite a good job. Just look at the picture I snapped during my diving in Philippines.<\/p>\n

Now there are so many action cameras on the market that can do more or less the same job<\/strong> (but not to a 100%) but for less money, but I refuse to change.<\/p>\n

I guess because I’m emotionally attached to GoPro, and even though I do use Insta360 X2 for 360 videos on the slopes and while vlogging, GoPro remains my favorite<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Now the question comes: When do you need to buy a GoPro? What need should you have so GoPro would be the only camera to cover them?<\/p>\n
