Compared to the Pocket 2\u2019s 1\/1.7-inch CMOS sensor from 2020, the Pocket 3 captures better video and photos, especially in low-light conditions where its predecessor and much of its competition struggle.<\/p>\n<p>The larger sensor provides<strong> more background blur and superior low-light performance<\/strong> than I expected. The mics on the back and sides are not as good but excel at capturing ambient sounds. Firstly, I think the Osmo Pocket 3 <strong>may not be the best choice for those prioritizing portability and simplicity<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>While it still maintains these qualities, it\u2019s noticeably larger and about <strong>60g heavier than its predecessor<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The larger sensor, more versatile rotatable screen, and bigger battery are worth the tradeoff for some, but not everyone will agree.<\/p>\n<p>Secondly, the camera <strong>lacks any weather-sealing<\/strong>. Even the MicroSD card slot is fully exposed, which might not be an issue for everyone, but it has prevented me from filming a few times.<\/p>\n<p>Lastly, the camera feels <strong>somewhat fragile<\/strong>. You certainly wouldn\u2019t want to drop it headfirst.
