There are two modes in this setting:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Vibrant (default)<\/li>\n<li>Natural<\/li>\n<li>Flat<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Vibrant <\/strong>is the default Color mode on which the GoPro Hero 10 operates. In this mode, the camera captures photos and videos with a color-saturated profile. <strong>Natural<\/strong> color mode is a bit different that vibrant in the way that it captures photos and videos with a true-to-life color profile. Both these modes are great if you don&#8217;t want to edit the image in post-production.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Flat<\/strong>, on the other hand, gives a neutral color profile. When you choose this option, colors may appear washed off at first. This is done by adjusting the color temperature of videos and photos shot with your Hero 10.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the White Balance options that you can choose from:<\/p>\n<p>Auto (default), 2300K, 2800K, 3200K, 4000K, 4500K, 5500K, 6000K, 6500K, and Native<\/p>\n<p><strong>Auto<\/strong>, as the name suggests, sets the white balance automatically. It is the default profile on the GoPro Hero 10. <strong>Lower values <\/strong>mean <strong>warmer tones<\/strong>. <strong>Native<\/strong> offers a minimally color-corrected profile, and therefore, allows for more flexibility and adjustments in post-production.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>ISO Minimum\/Maximum<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>ISO Minimum\/<\/strong><strong>Maximum<\/strong> refers to the range for your GoPro&#8217;s sensitivity to light and image &#8216;noise&#8217; or the degree of graininess in the image. The ISO Minimum and Maximum values range from 100 to 6400. Higher ISO values result in brighter images, but with greater noise. Lower ISO values, on the other hand, result in darker images, but with less noise. The <strong>default<\/strong> for ISO Maximum is 1600 for video and 3200 for photos. The default ISO Minimum is 100 for both photos and videos.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pro Tip:<\/strong> To lock the ISO at a specific value, set ISO Minimum and ISO Maximum to the same values<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Shutter<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The Protune <strong>Shutter<\/strong> setting only applies to the Video, Photo, and LiveBurst modes on the GoPro Hero 10 Black. This setting determines how long the camera&#8217;s shutter stays open.<\/p>\n<p>For <strong>Photos<\/strong>, the options are &#8211; Auto, 1\/125, 1\/250, 1\/500, 1\/1000, and 1\/2000 second.<\/p>\n<p>For <strong>Video<\/strong>, the options depend on the fps setting. These options include &#8211; Auto, 1\/fps, 1\/2x fps, 1\/4x fps, 1\/8x fps.<\/p>\n<p>The default setting is <strong>Auto<\/strong>, which means that the camera automatically selects the shutter speed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pro Tip:<\/strong> To reduce the amount of blur in videos and photos when using the Shutter setting, mount your camera on a tripod or other stable surface where it won\u2019t wobble or shake.<\/p>\n<h3>Exposure Value Compensation (EV Comp)<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Exposure Value Compensation<\/strong> on Hero 10 affects the brightness of your photos and videos. By adjusting this setting, you can improve image quality when shooting scenes with sharp contrasts.<\/p>\n<p>Options for this setting range from <strong>-2.0 to +2.0.<\/strong> The <strong>default<\/strong> setting is -05.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that for Video, this setting is available only if Shutter is set to <strong>Auto<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Sharpness<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Sharpness <\/strong>allows you to control the quality of details captured in your video footage or photos. You can choose from three Sharpness options:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>High (default)<\/li>\n<li>Medium<\/li>\n<li>Low<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Pro Tip:<\/strong> Planning on increasing sharpness during editing? Select <strong>Low<\/strong> for this setting.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>RAW Audio<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The <strong>RAW Audio<\/strong> setting creates a separate .wav file for your video, in addition to the standard .mp4 audio track. You can select from various levels of processing in the RAW audio track, which include:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Off<\/strong> (default)<strong>:<\/strong> No separate .wav file is created.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Low: <\/strong>Applies minimal processing.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Med:<\/strong> Applies moderate processing.<\/li>\n<li><strong>High: <\/strong>Applies full audio processing.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Using <strong>Low<\/strong> is recommended if you want to apply audio processing in post-production. <strong>Med<\/strong> is ideal if you want to apply your own gain. Lastly, keep this setting on <strong>High<\/strong> if you want the processed audio without AAC encoding.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Wind Noise Reduction<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The GoPro Hero 10 Black uses three microphones to capture sound. With the Wind<strong> Noise Reduction<\/strong>, you can customize how these microphones are used. There are three levels to choose from &#8211; Auto (default), On, and Off.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Auto<\/strong> is the <strong>default<\/strong> wind noise reduction level on Hero 10. It automatically filters out excessive wind\/water noise. When you keep this setting On, the camera will filter out excessive wind noise, such as when it is mounted on a moving vehicle. It is recommended that you keep the Wind Noise Reduction <strong>Off<\/strong> only when the wind will not affect sound quality, such as while using the camera indoors.<\/p>\n<p>So, choose the most suitable option based on where you\u2019re shooting and what type of sound you want in your finished video.<\/p>\n<h2>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Should I Turn Protune on or Off GoPro?<\/h2>\n<hr>\n<p>Whether you should turn Protune on or off on your GoPro camera depends on your specific shooting situation and preferences.<\/p>\n<p>In general, Protune is recommended for more experienced users who want more control over their footage. With <strong>Protune turned on<\/strong>, you can adjust settings like color, ISO limit, exposure value, and more, giving you greater control over the look of your footage.
