DJI officially confirmed the Pocket 4 Pro — optical zoom on a DJI pocket camera for the first time. The dual-lens design changes how you’d actually use this camera, and the Creator Combo is loaded in a way that makes a real difference for new buyers. Here’s what the first look tells us — and the one caveat that matters most if you’re in the US.
What’s in the DJI Pocket 4 Pro Creator Combo
From the leaked unboxing, the Creator Combo is loaded: camera, extension handle, mini tripod, field light attachment, filters, a wireless DJI Mic transmitter, magnetic clip, wide-angle lens attachment, cables, wrist strap, and an upgraded carrying pouch. That’s a significant step up from what the Pocket 3 came with — where you’d typically end up buying a tripod, filters, and mic mount almost immediately. If you’re new to pocket cameras, this is a much cleaner entry point. If you already own the Pocket 4 and have most of this kit, the Creator Combo adds less value.
DJI Pocket 4 Pro specs
The key addition over the standard Pocket 4 is the second camera. The 1-in main sensor stays, joined by a dedicated lens with 3x optical zoom und bis zu 6x lossless. That changes the camera in a meaningful way — every previous DJI pocket was stuck with a single wide lens. Now you can shoot wide for vlogs and b-roll, then switch to telephoto for cleaner subject framing without a crop.
Full specs: 8K at 30fps, 4K at 240fps, 14 stops of dynamic range, rumored new DLog M2 color profile, Active Track 7, 107GB internal storage at 800MB/s, four-channel audio, full DJI Mic 2 wireless support. Magnetic attachment system, dedicated zoom buttons, customizable physical controls. Same limitations as the Pocket 4: non-removable battery and still not waterproof.
Is the DJI Pocket 4 Pro worth it?
If you own the Pocket 3 — this is a meaningful upgrade. The optical zoom genuinely changes the camera in a way that specs alone don’t capture. Worth skipping the standard Pocket 4 and going straight to the Pro, if you can get one. If you own the Pocket 4 — you’ll want to weigh whether the second lens and DLog M2 justify the price step-up. The platform underneath is the same. If you’re new to pocket cameras in the US — the Pocket 4 Pro is a great camera, but getting one through official US channels isn’t currently possible. The DJI Pocket 3 is your safest US option right now — significantly cheaper, available normally, and still very capable.
The US availability situation
DJI has been on the FCC covered entity list since December 2025. Neither the Pocket 4 nor the Pocket 4 Pro is available through official US retail — no DJI.com, no Amazon direct. You can find the Pocket 4 through third-party US resellers, or import from Canada or China. The Pocket 4 Pro is in the same position. If that’s a friction point, it’s worth looking at the insta360 Luna Ultra — Insta360 isn’t on that list, and their cameras ship normally to US addresses the day they launch.
The DJI Pocket 4 Pro body is expected around $700. The Creator Combo with the full accessory kit will be priced higher. This is about $200 more than the standard Pocket 4 at $499.
The Pocket 4 Pro adds a dedicated 3x optical zoom lens alongside the 1-in main sensor, enabling real telephoto reach without digital quality loss. It also includes a rumored new DLog M2 color profile. Everything else — 107GB internal storage, stabilization, four-channel audio — carries over from the standard Pocket 4.
Not through official channels. DJI has been on the FCC covered entity list since December 2025, cutting off normal US retail. You can find the Pocket 4 through third-party resellers or import from Canada or China. The DJI Pocket 3 remains the only DJI pocket camera available through standard US retail.
No. The Pocket 4 Pro is not waterproof, same as previous Pocket cameras. The gimbal mechanism makes sealing impractical. For rain or water use, a proper action camera like the DJI Osmo Action 6 is the better choice.
